Dr. Yujing Lu is a 2019 UK Outstanding Chinese Teacher and an examiner for UK Pearson Edexcel GCSE and A level Chinese.
She did her MA and PhD at Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching at the university of Southampton. She is a qualified Chinese language teacher who has been teaching since 2010 and holds the certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language in the UK. She has taught in a variety of places including independent schools, Confucius Institute supported Chinese class and the Southampton Chinese School. Currently, She runs engaging and inspiring Chinese courses and works for the university of Southampton supporting a project of Chinese language curriculum development.
Yujing has been actively involved in Chinese cultural related events in the UK, for example the MC host for many Southampton events, as well as the 10th Confucius Institute anniversary and during the UK Chinese New Year events.
Yujing is also the recommended interpreter for official events in the University, such as when various Chinese University Vice Chancellors visit the UK for tours and training.
Apart from teaching, Yujing is a professional calligrapher. She is the student of Chinese prestigious calligrapher Yajun Wang and has been professional taught Chinese calligraphy since she was 5 in China. She has gained many honors and rewards in national and international Chinese calligraphy competitions.
